Nascall Hot Springs

The national inventory records warm spring water at Nascall Bay on the Central Coast. This is a separate source from nearby Eucott Bay and should not be treated as the same destination.

Historical source coordinate; not a trailhead. Accuracy and datum have not been independently verified. Historical water readings describe source samples, not safe soaking temperatures.

Not open to the public

Nascall is the one spring on this list you should not plan to visit. The site has been developed privately and is not open to the public; reporting describes the springs as off limits, with the associated resort closed.

It has been under private development for the better part of a decade, which means much of what circulates online about the site is likely out of date. Do not treat older trip reports as an indication of current access.

Where it is, for the record

Nascall Bay sits about 48 km northwest of Bella Coola on Dean Channel, reachable only by boat or plane. The boating route runs westbound from Bella Coola along North Bentinck Arm for roughly 29 km, right into Labouchere Channel for about 17.5 km, then north into Dean Channel for a further 5.5 km.

Reported source temperature is around 44 °C, making it one of the hotter springs on the central coast.

Why it is listed here at all

Nascall appears in the national thermal-spring record and in most comprehensive BC spring lists, so leaving it out would make this guide less accurate. Including it with a clear statement of its status is more useful than omitting it and letting someone find a stale blog post instead.

If the ownership position changes, that will show up through the operator rather than through recreation listings.

Opening hours & season

No verified visitor timetable

Access depends on land-manager permission, closures and local conditions. No published timetable should be interpreted as 24-hour access.

All times are local to the spring. Checked 2026-10-01; this is not a live opening-status display. Closure notices override regular hours.

Our take

A place for further operator-led research. Do not infer public access or visitor facilities from the presence of a named spring.

Editorial assessment based on published information. No firsthand visit or customer score is implied.

Before you go
